Summer Roses

  • Inspired by the roses I planted in my backyard, this painting captures the colors in summer where flowers bloom. To my surprise, the same rosebush produced two different colors—thanks to a fun gardening twist called grafting, where the rootstock sometimes grows its own flowers. The soft, cascading roses framing the door are a celebration of summer’s surprises, and the way nature never stops finding new ways to amaze us. This piece is a love letter to Colorado summer
